When I enquired of the Lord a word for this new year 2022 , He confirmed to me in a myriad of ways that it was to focus on being FRUITFUL
Everywhere I went on over the summer I saw trees with fruits.
First was a plum tree -I’ve never seen a tree with so much fruit on it…then I came across rows of (what I think) are gooseberry trees in the bush and then we spent an afternoon helping friends clean and process bucket loads of grapes. It also dawned on me that we are in the month of Shevat which started on the 3rd of Jan and the 15th day of Shevat is celebrated as the New Year of Trees! Having done a bit more study I found this month is linked with the tribe of Asher, which pictures pleasure, happiness, delicious, and fatness (Note: Asher were gardeners, farmers and were very prosperous in the land)
Psalm 1 epitomizes ‘being fruitful’ and if you read Jeremiah 17:5- 8 it is almost word for word for Psalm 1, pretty awesome 🙂
So here’s to being fruitful and bearing an abundance of fruit (the good kind!) in all that we do this year!
Just thought I’d share this, and I hope it blesses you?
